Whistler Events for 2017

Whistler Events 2017

While in Whistler you can experience more than the mountains, skiing, snowboarding and thrill seeking summer activities.  Music, Arts and Festivals happen all year round. Health and Wellness is also a soul quenching experience in Whistler with our many spas and health professionals. Listed here are some of the exciting things you can experience in Whistler Events 2017!

January

January is more than celebrating bringing in the New Year with your favourite friends, family or significant other, skiing down the slopes, or sipping on hot chocolate at the top of the mountain.  While you meander through the villiage stroll you may find yourself flooded with rainbow streams of colours if you visit Whistler near the end of January for the Whistler Pride and Ski Festival....

February is more than just Valentine's Day, chocolate and cinnamon heart's....It's college kids party time and Mardi Gras central...You may find yourself at the top of the mountain experiencing a typical 'Pineapple Express Event' where our good friends from Hawaii send us up some heat and inversions in temperatures where the valley may become cooler than up top...It is not uncommon to experience plus celsius temperatures while skiing when the valley feels like a frigid icebox... Goggle tans are a fashion and February is a great time to get your goggle tan!

March is fun with kids school breaks and never ending powder days.  March is ususally the month we get our biggest snowfalls.  It is not uncommon to try to find your car during one of our 6' buried car snowstorms...

April Ski and Snowboard Festival

April is a time of celebration with Easter Holiday and the Ski and Snowboard Festival.  Meet the pros perform their spins, twists, big airs off of jumps, rails and berms...and at the end of day you can enjoy the free concerts and live shows sponsored at the base of Whistler Mountain.  Be sure to catch the evening events at the Whistler Conference Centre show casing the Filmmakers Showdown, The Photographers Showdown and Intersection to name a few! April is also great for getting dressed up in your outrageous wigs, silly, sassy costumes or go in the buck down the mountain.
